Will there be insects on my trip?
What to expect and how to prepare for bugs
This Article Applies to Expeditions On Board the Ocean Nova and the Ocean Victory
Insects, including mosquitoes, black flies, and gnats, are a natural part of wilderness environments. To help ensure your comfort and allow you to fully enjoy each landing, we recommend packing insect repellent and a bug net head covering for protection.
Roll-on repellent is an excellent choice because it minimizes scent and reduces environmental impact. This is especially important for Arctic and Labrador expeditions during the warmer months, when insect activity can be at its peak.
