# Will my itinerary change from what was advertised?
## Understanding potential itinerary adjustments during your expedition
*This Article Applies to all Adventure Canada Small-Ship Expeditions*
Itineraries may change, and that is part of the experience. Our expeditions aboard the *Ocean Nova* and the *Ocean Victory* travel through remote and dynamic environments where weather, sea ice, and community considerations can influence the day-to-day plan. Safety is always our top priority. When changes are necessary, our experienced team adapts with care—crafting alternative routes and activities that prioritize both safety and the spirit of exploration. Flexibility allows us to make the most of each opportunity, ensuring a rewarding journey for guests, expedition team, and host communities alike.
Expeditions operated by our trusted partners in different regions follow the same spirit and approach as Adventure Canada voyages. Safety is always the top priority, and itineraries remain flexible so the team can adapt to changing conditions. This means plans may occasionally shift along the way, allowing the expedition team to respond to weather, wildlife, or local circumstances while ensuring the safest and most rewarding experience possible.
