What types of excursions are included in my expedition?

There are no additional fees for daily excursions—these are included as part of your expedition. Each day, you’ll be briefed on upcoming shore landings and activities by the Expedition Leader, who will outline the options available along with the mobility level required for each. This allows you to choose the excursion that best matches your interests and abilities.

We cater to a range of activity levels and areas of interest, often breaking into smaller groups to offer tailored experiences. While one group may embark on a strenuous hike, another might stay closer to the landing site for a more leisurely exploration. You’re always free to move at your own pace, and Zodiacs remain on standby when you’re ready to return to the ship.

Adventure Canada offers three types of core excursions:

• Zodiac Cruises – Our safe, sturdy boats grant access to places with no ports or docks. These cruises might take you alongside bird cliffs, sea ice, glacier faces, and more—with expert staff offering interpretation and insight along the way.
• Expedition Landings – Get your feet on the ground and immerse yourself in the landscape. Options range from easy strolls to multi-hour hikes, with themed walks and interpretation stations led by our expedition team.
• Community Visits – Guests are warmly welcomed into communities, where they may enjoy cultural presentations, traditional games, food tastings, and local art and craft sales. These visits foster connection and support the communities we travel to.

Optional kayaking is also available for an additional fee.
