# What kind of dry bag should I buy?
## Dry bag considerations
*This Article Applies to Expeditions On Board the **Ocean Nova** and the **Ocean Victory***
*Exception: Expeditions Operated by our Partners*
Zodiac rides and transfers can be wet, so we recommend bringing a roll-top waterproof backpack or dry bag to protect your belongings. Salt water can be especially damaging to electronics, so keeping cameras, phones, and other valuables well protected is important.
Dry bags come in a variety of sizes and are widely available at outdoor shops. When choosing one, consider enough space for your electronics and valuables. Your dry bag may also be stored with your rubber boots at the landing site, so selecting a size large enough to hold your hiking boots and possibly a small day bag can be convenient.
