What is the experience like for children and teens on board?
What to expect when travelling with children and teens
Adventure Canada’s style of travel is easygoing, fun, and informative—and we do our best to engage young travellers without compromising the experience for others. Kids and teens are welcome to join all on-board activities and excursions. Many sessions are hands-on and interactive, such as printmaking, photography lessons, sing-alongs, and more.
While we do not provide babysitting or assign dedicated staff to children for the full voyage, our team is passionate, welcoming, and eager to share their knowledge with guests of all ages. On some days, if conditions and staffing allow, we may even be able to organize special outings for children, like beachcombing or a Zodiac ride.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their children are engaged and not disruptive during programming. There are plenty of common areas on board for kids who wish to step away from scheduled events, including lounges, a library, and in-cabin entertainment.
The northern environment is captivating and culturally rich—children are often drawn in by both the landscape and the people they meet. In Arctic communities, local youth are usually quick to include visiting children in games or cultural demonstrations.
We believe travel can be transformational for young people, helping spark a lifelong curiosity about the world. If your children are curious, engaged, and ready for adventure, this could be a truly unforgettable experience.
