# Understanding the nature of expedition travel
## Embrace the dynamic and flexible nature of expedition journeys
*This Article Applies to all Adventure Canada Small-Ship Expeditions*
Expedition travel is inherently unpredictable. Factors such as weather, sea conditions, government regulations, and community requests can influence daily plans. This flexibility is a hallmark of the experience and allows for spontaneous opportunities and memorable moments along the way.
Each day brings the potential for discovery, whether through natural wonders, cultural encounters, or time spent exploring the land and sea. We encourage travellers to come with an open mind, as no two voyages are ever the same.
