How are excursions adapted for different mobility or interest levels?

Excursions designed to suit a range of mobility levels and interests

This Article Applies to Expeditions On Board the Ocean Nova and the Ocean Victory

During shore excursions, we do our best to accommodate a variety of physical ability levels and personal interests. Wherever possible, we break into smaller groups to allow for tailored experiences. This might mean one group sets out on a more strenuous hike that may be faster paced or over uneven terrain, while another explores the area near the landing site at a slower pace and on gentler ground. At times, there may also be themed walks led by members of the expedition team focusing on their area of expertise.

You are always welcome to explore at your own pace during landings. When you're ready to return to the ship, Zodiacs are on standby to bring you back.

On board, each day’s program includes a detailed briefing from the Expedition Leader, who will outline the following day’s activities. These briefings include descriptions of each excursion option, their level of difficulty, and what to expect.
