Community Visits During the Expedition
Engaging respectfully with remote communities during your expedition
Adventure Canada limits the number of guests on board each expedition to ensure a more intimate and rewarding travel experience. This smaller group size enhances the quality of our programming and allows for more meaningful interactions—both with fellow travellers and with the communities we visit.
While some of the communities we visit are small—sometimes with populations comparable to or smaller than our group—this does not diminish the experience. Our visits are designed to be respectful, engaging, and culturally enriching. Community visits may include walking tours, art or museum stops, local food experiences, and performances such as music, dance, or traditional games.
Excursion options vary based on location and often cater to different physical ability levels or interests. Some guests may choose to explore independently, while others enjoy guided group activities led by members of our expedition team. Cultural presentations hosted in town halls or community centres provide a shared experience for all guests to enjoy together.
We encourage open-minded participation and respectful curiosity—these visits are often highlights of the expedition.
